Atheism, Religion and Intelligence

Throughout Human History many thinkers exclude that an intelligent person can be religious or a follower of any traditional and vernacular culture.
In their opinion the intellectual development depends of a freedom environment and to not have ties with any fixed expression of knowledge, everything needs to be open to be questioned without exception. It’s for this reason that modern intellectual automatically declares themselves as atheists. That declaration in my opinion is already in contradiction with their primary rule of not to have definitions or unmoving meaning for anything.

I don’t understand why an intellectual cant learn and be part of a religion, a specific culture, or cultural group without being a fanatic or a slave of a pre-made organic system?

If we view ourselves as unique and special—not because we are superior, but because we possess a distinct identity rooted in a creed, religion, or cultural heritage where we feel comfortable and accepted for who we are—then we also create our own culture, religion, or faith.

Claiming to be an atheist at this point is merely a pose intended to make others believe they are strong and independent; in reality, such attitudes betray a lack of inner connection as well as immaturity and indecisiveness.

For me, a person who doesn’t have a faith is not to trust because they don’t have any compromise with the world or the people here.
