Franco Baresi on the Mount Olimpo

Was the year 1994 in Greece, specifically in Athens where Franco Baresi, the best player I ever saw, became, in this almost impossible final of the Championship League, the trainer of his Milan team. He wasn’t able to play this match, but during the bus drive to the Stadium to meet the Barcelona of Johan Cruijff for the decisive match, he instructed the strategy to use to his companions and created surprise that the official trainer Fabio Capello just kept silent; just after Franco Baresi’s tactical speech ended, he confirmed to all the players: If Franco said, you obey. 
This day Franco Baresi, was celebrating each of the four goals the great Milan scored to the surprised Barcelona, like he was playing, like he was the Milan, as the Captain of a boat he was ready to leave in good hands. The same day included Silvio Berlusconi, owner of the AC Milan, who was always trying to give advice to Capello; he just gave compliments to Franco Baresi.
Franco left in the pupil’s of the people that saw him not just the image of a great sportsman, but especially for the Italians, he was like a person who was born not in 1960, but in 1920, a man that suffered and thanks to daily dedication and a strong mindset become an idol to dream to be, and a legend for who loves “Il Calcio”, and for who loves Italy, it’s characters, it’s history and strong courageous persons like Franco Baresi.
