Misha Arens, founder of the Likud, Developer of the Israelian indigenous Defence and creator of the project L'IAI Lavi, the first complete Israelian Combat jet. The production didn’t happen just for the direct order of the USA to abort the project! They didn’t want international military concurrence for their F16!
Moshe Arens, who lived, studied, and served during WWII in the USA, understood the geopolitical importance for Israel to have an independent defence system to avoid being ruled by American diplomacy when in need of their help! The USA was, and are, big military supporters of Israel but they look for their own Geopolitical Interest as well. He was a big supporter of the launch of the Iron Dome!
He was the direct responsible of the massive immigration of North African Jews to Israel, giving the votes to the Likud party!
After the re foundation of Israel in 1948, he didn’t find a job and he needed to go back to the USA to study! First at the MIT(Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and then at the Caltech in California! With what he learned, he came back to Israel not just to become a great professor but to impulse political first as part of the Herut, and then as founder of the new Likud, and 3 times Minister of Defence, a necessity for the national military industrial development for Israel! He saw in Benjamin Netanyahu not just a great Israelian patriot, but a serious candidate to be, in future, in charge of the country! He supported his scientific studies in the MIT and sponsored him as Israelian ambassador at the ONU! Misha Arens, knew when it was time to go away from his party, the Knesset, or of the government. Bibi called him his father that died at his funeral, it is time he completes the learning from his master! Israel needs to be as independent as possible in military and political to take the right decisions concerning their existence as a democratic state!
