The Senator

A friend of mine, at certain point, changed his way to dress and talk. He wore a tie and a suit everyday on this hot summer, surprising the many people who knew him since always, including his close family. After I asked him if there was any special reason for this radical change, he told me that he is tired to pay a mortgage, unable to buy all that he wants, that life is one, and he decided to change his. I asked him if he had a plan how to change his life status, if he was working in something knew, a project or an idea, he confessed to me that his father in law got retired of a very important position in the National Italian Bank, and thanks to some connections he will pay with part of his retirement bonus for a place in a political party for him, and he can run in the elections with a low number. He’s now a Senator and a very influential one. I’m happy for him and that his wish become true, but somehow I think that we need to get rich generating new wealth and progress, but if this is the only way for many people, this will just created a debt for the country and the society.

I think the use and model of Democracy is what needs to be changed! This Needs to be an urgent matter in all Occidental parliaments!
