I’m Michael Gellera, I made just one mistake: I left my office building in Manhattan, just grabbing my credit card to buy a coffee at the entrance door. I saw how beautiful and sunny the day was, so imprudently I crossed the sidewalk and went to Central Park for a shiny bath drinking my coffee. Two minutes later I was furiously and physically agressed by two ICE members. They requested my ID, I told them, I left it in my office as I just came down with my credit card that has my name if they want to control it. They asked my name, and when I said Gellera, they asked me if I’m Mexican, like Aguilera, I said I’m American and my family name Gellera comes from Arcore, Milano, Italy, that the name is now Gilera, since the brother of my grandfather created the Gilera motorcycle factory. They didn’t take any attention to my explanation and asked me where I live. I answered in Manhattan, I was born in Brooklyn NY, and I work as partner of a private bank, associate with JP Morgan. They asked me if I had any contacts either with any Mexican drug cartel, I told them I never had any problem with drugs, I was never in Mexico, and that they need to accompany me to my office to show my ID that will prove my identity. They called me Aguilera and that I don’t remember Mexico since, for sure, I was taken as a child. I got angry and told them that Gregory Bovino, their boss, must be of the family of Bovinos, from where comes cows and bulls, after that, they punched and threw me and immobilized my hands and feet with zip ties in the back seat of a van. I was treated like a criminal and deported to the Mexican border on a expressway, the fast trial just concluded that I was Mexican, since they asked me if I like Tacos or Burritos and I answered that I eat them from time to time, and this was the factual proof of my hidden Mexican DNA. This is America today!
