The Most Powerful Economy Where Their Citizens Are Starving

Around 50 million USA citizens and residents are in risk of suffering starvation.
The Food Stamp Program under the USDA (United States Department of
Agriculture) control doesn’t have the funds to supply their subscribers with food stamps to exchange for food.
This superb and gigantic social service has almost 100 years, with different names, but it all started just after the big depression in 1930, where the economic crisis destroyed the commercial balance of offer and demand; there were so many food products in the markets and stores, but people were not able to buy them.
People started to suffer of severe hunger and starvation, but the farmers and their workers started to be in risk of bankruptcy.
So essentially, the USA with intelligence and with the recently created income tax made a public priority effort to keep who can’t sell and who can’t buy back into a first world country standard.
The Food Stamp program was reviewed during JFK government and finally refined by Lyndon Johnson, focused in what is called Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, where the main idea was to complement the diet of poor people that can afford food but not necessary high nutrition products, this includes a specific assistance for pregnant women and the new born babies. JFK’s understanding about how important the diet is for the creation of strong minds in healthy bodies was stunning! Maybe just after the Roman Giovenale 2000 years ago with their famous: Mens Sana in Corpore Sano,
JFK wanted to create a truly powerful country based in the strength of their citizens health. Even then it would relax the medical and sanitary compartment since the quality of life and the health of the citizens would make their use mainly for emergency care.
So now, during the second presidency of President Trump, this historic American effort is not seen like basilar and a priority starting from the Congress and arriving to the actual government authorities, with a constant printing of USD, and with a consequently increase of the public debt for many other uses, but not for this Food Stamp Service which needs to be reviewed, since in the past years the habits and dangers for health changed but it’s still a fundamental utility for the present and future of the citizens of the First World Economy!
