The tragedy of Crans-Montana

The fire and its consequence of death of many teenagers that went to a party; some never returning back home, others will go back after being in the hospital for weeks or months and with permanent physical and psychological damages, others still inside the ballroom in the form of aches, that with the help of Israeli forensic professionals will come back in symbolic boxes at least with a name on it.

We see images of the young kids filming the fire and celebrating without any sense of survival instead of searching for a way out. The fact of playing with fireworks inside a closed building in not just dangerous but irresponsible behaviors that are not the main purpose of this essay, but it’s the fact that as the life expectancy grew considerably in the wealthy countries, the age range of the teen years grew as well, having people in their 40s that are still immature.

It’s like people feel too secure, waiting and believing that somebody else has a mission or an obligation to them and will come to rescue them always.

These young kids payed the most heavy and dramatic price for their imprudence that nobody deserves.

When I was a child my grandfather always repeatedly told me: “Be careful to fall because nobody will come to help you stand”.
