The Spanish high speed train AVE has 4,000 km of railway, and the tragedy that happened in Adamuz, a village at 30 km of the historical Cordoba, an important Roman center of culture and arts founded more than 2,000 years ago, the prosperous capital of Al-Andalus during the Caliphate Omayyade, where Muslims, Jews and Christian’s lived in peace and prosperity.
This accident that killed more than 40 people, and moved the population of the village of Adamuz to help and assist the train passengers, needs to be deeply investigated and the conclusions need to be shared with all other countries that offer these High Speed Railway Services to their citizens. Hopefully new software and technology will be created to secure this miracle of transportation; A train that crosses cities, towns and regions in a short time, giving more opportunities and a better quality of life, for example, to those who are able to work or study in Madrid, while being able to live in a small bucolic village like Toledo.
This is the AVE, and this is the kind of investments the free world is in constant need of.
Maimonides (Moses ben Maimon), one of the most insightful Jewish Philosophers and intellectuals was from Cordoba Spain, he called Jesus a disruptive person who divided cultures and the world, affecting forever peace, but in reality after 1,000 years he passed away this Cordoba is more united and ready to help whoever was in need, no matter their colour, faith or their citizenship, this is a fact that proves not necessarily any time in the past was better.
