The United States Unknown Soldier

9 de enero de 2026

Oscar Bellina Lishner

I died fighting next to General George Washington believing in our future nation.

I died as a Texas Ranger protecting our families of settlers fighting for a piece of land to live in peace against the Indians.

I died twice suffering as our president Abraham Lincoln, for the horrific Civil War, that confronted Americans against Americans, so I died next to General Grant, as well as next to General Lee.

I fought next to Teddy Roosevelt as a Rough Rider in Cuba, and I died as a proud American taking the Empires out of our continent.

Came the First World War and we showed the entire world that America was a strong and independent nation, we fought for the freedom of Europe as Marines in the Battle of Belleau Wood, and I was one of the more than 116,000 American fatalities, in my case after being wounded, I died in the hospital from the Spanish Flu.

Came the Second World War, and after being cowardly attacked by Japanese forces in Pearl Harbour, I was next to General Patton, taking Italy out of the hands of fascism.

With Douglas MacArthur we defended South Korea battling next to allies of 17 countries, we were a force of freedom and it was the United Nations who trusted in our democracy to put in order the peninsula of Korea.

But during and after the Vietnam war, it’s than I felt like I’m in a second American Civil war, we had General William Westmoreland, one of the most competent soldiers in American history, but our country was divided, and our politicians wanted to interfere in the war decisions, it was better to die in Hamburger Hill than to go back home and be accused of baby killer, and needed to hide the fact that we are Vietnam war veterans.

In Iraq and Afghanistan, we were accused of imperialist occupation troops, mining our military pride. Most of us are suffering of PTSD, something that makes a normal life difficult to have, and many of us are struggling economically to keep a roof and a plate of food on our table.

Dedicated to all the American Veterans who fought for more than 250 years defending Democracy, Prosperity and the Soul of the United States of America.
