The USA H-1B Visa Affair

The USA president decision to change the rules on the most important mechanism to attract skilled workers into the USA big tech compartment left me astonished.
If you have or had a technological business you will understand that to have a head manager with experience and actively working with a team developing technology, no matter how simple or complex, but to start and finish the technical part thanks to his knowledge is a diamond. Later you can have all your local employees to learn from him, this creates development and richness, for you, for other families, for your country, and enhancing the level of quality and progress in the near future.
75% of the holders of this Visa are Indian and 15% are Chinese.
It is clear that their home countries need them, especially in this critical, complex and competitive time. So in my opinion, this apparent no sense decision of Donald Trump, that goes clearly against the American interest, since the people that are using this Visa are proper professionals. They are used to live and work, especially the Indians, with very little comfort. When they arrived to live in the USA, they get used to have all they may have wished to accomplish in their job plus they are earning money that is impossible to have in their home countries, so they would not go anywhere else.
Trump has a difficult appointment with the Chinese President Xi Jinping in the near future , but they had a phone call Friday the 19, and Xi Jinping and the Indian first minister Modi, had long conversations before that. So it is clear that this visa and the loss of talent for China and India is the key for the diplomatic distension with the USA, after the tax war. Very difficult decision for Donald Trump, wishing him luck, but I’m not sure this will help the USA in present or future.
