Where is the Pilot?

The American flight controllers and airspace emergency, is creating a devastating trust crisis in the daily transportation routine in the USA.

It is true, that after USA government shutdown, everything public can be an object of suspicious thoughts, the fact is that there are people that work for the state that are not getting paid since 40 days. There are around 44,000 flights every day in the USA and about 14,000 flight controllers that need to be working to create a safe environment. But the problem is deeper and older and not just related to President Trump’s second term government. We need to remember that the terrorists who hijacked four airline flights used for the 9/11 attack, all received their flight training in the USA without any clear or logical control. We need to add that a company like Boeing, who is now second manufacturer of aircraft’s in the world after Airbus, is in crisis, especially after the fatal incidents of their 737 Max that killed hundreds of people just 5 years ago, and with the company accusing a software problem. It’s clear that Boeing, is involved in a financial restructuring using the stock market that needs to show sales and dividends, selling stocks not just to keep producing or to invest in innovation, but principally to keep the large salary status of their CEO, Directors and Board Members without any consideration of the real health and true problems of the company. This adding to the Globalization that makes it so convenient to produce pieces and technologies in poorer countries, paying less and earning more; but quality is not an option for an airplane, and now the reputation of Boeing and the USA is in question in this matter. What is clear is the need of constant and more accurate psychological reviews and controls on pilots, controllers, mechanics, etc, it absolutely needs to be updated if the USA doesn’t want to have the rating or the performance of Nepal and their airlines in the near future.
